Casa do Impacto signed a partnership protocol with IRN – Instituto dos Registos e do Notariado (Portuguese Institute of Registries and Notaries) to create pilot projects, with its residents. Within the scope of this partnership, Casa do Impacto will act as a mediator, bridging the gap between community and the IRN, which will identify problems within it that will be resolved through solutions incubated in the entrepreneurship space of Santa Casa da Misericórdia de Lisboa

At the start of this partnership, 3 contracts were signed with Speak , and The Minimal Magazine in the areas of social inclusion and reduction of social inequalities, information technologies and mental health.

In collaboration with the new area of the IRN dedicated to social and environmental responsibility – which identifies opportunities for the development of partnerships that promote socially responsible projects – Casa do Impacto identified 3 startups in its community to respond and implement the following programs:

_Speak , which connects refugees and migrants to local inhabitants to teach and learn languages, will implement a series of training initiatives for IRN employees to promote greater openness and knowledge of diversity and social inclusion, creating a change in personal and in the workplace, with a focus on service and enhancement of communication channels;

_The <Code Academy_>, which promotes programming bootcamps for career change and greater technological literacy, will create a tool to automate and filter IRN data, through the development of an artificial intelligence program for the Institute’s financial area;

_The Minimal Magazine, an editorial project of social innovation and impact academy for people and organizations, will create a series of training initiatives for IRN employees, to promote their well-being and mental health in order to provide employees with tools practices to live healthier, more sustainable and inclusive lives.

Signed on April 4th , the contracts arise from the objective of uniting startups with private and public companies, in a joint effort to promote innovation. The pilots will last one year and aim to develop innovative, sustainable projects with scalability potential. At the same time, the partnership intends to continue to promote synergies within the entrepreneurship and social innovation ecosystem that may arise with other solutions from the Casa do Impacto startup community and other activities that may be identified during the course of the protocol.
