Casa do Impacto was one of the organizations invited to participate in the nomination process for The Earthshot Prize – another recognition of Casa do Impacto’s importance in the national and international innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem.

While Official Nominator, Casa do Impacto integrates a group of global organizations, invited to send nominations for the five award categories: Protect and restore Nature, Clean our Air, Revive our Oceans, Build a Waste-Free World and Fix gold Climate.

The selection of the Portuguese hub was by recognizing its ability to identify the most impactful solutions in all areas and sectors, as well as being a space where many public and private entities converge.

Something Apps is a small Portuguese company focused on developing hardware and software solutions. Since 2018, the team has created unique and pioneering solutions for needy markets, such as UnPrint or QRKoin.

It’s a technology that aims to create a global platform to manage perishable goods supply chains in real-time to avoid food waste. How? Alerting homeowners and, if necessary, distributing food before it goes out of date, providing 30% more food to the world.

It’s a unique technology for the cost-effective and sustainable conversion of ocean waves into clean, reliable and affordable electricity.

_ Naandi regenerative Agriculture Hubs

It’s a national (India) network of Regenerative Agriculture Centers that support smallholder farmers to make profitable agriculture with zero chemical use and a lower carbon footprint.

The technology of this solution increases the ecological performance of maritime infrastructures, such as work fronts and offshore installations, bringing cement to life.

The solutions will undergo a rigorous evaluation process by the award organization, which will select five winners during the last quarter of the year.
