We started the year with news that will serve as motivation for 2025: We are once again one of the best Entrepreneurship Hubs in Europe, according to the “Leading Start-up Hubs 2025 special report” by Financial Times, Statista, and Sifted!
We’ve made the list for the second time in a row and confirmed that our work impacts the Entrepreneurs and Teams that pass through here. Only seventy-three Hubs remained on the list this year! We are delighted to continue to meet the expectations and criteria of this rigorous selection, reinforcing our role in Europe and within the list of the 150 best Hubs on it. This positive reinforcement is a huge motivation for us to continue doing so and yet another reason to take on the responsibility of bringing Impact to all areas, sectors, institutions, and political bodies. We’re still in the Top 100!
We wouldn’t be here without the massive vote of confidence that our Entrepreneurs, Teams, and Startups place in us daily, as well as all the thirty current projects and Alumni who have given their all while participating in our Incubation and/or Acceleration Programs.
To all our Friends, Partners, Investors, and Funders over the last six years—those who have been with us since the beginning and those who have joined us along the way—those who add to us, who make us think, and who give us other perspectives on the world. Those who bet on us and those who help us grow and make up for our shortcomings. Those who see the world as we do and help us build the future with the cornerstones of Impacto:
“The future doesn’t happen by chance—it’s built through action and with those who dare to shape it. Six years ago, Casa do Impacto was created within Santa Casa, an organization with five centuries of history, to make Innovation and Social Impact accessible to everyone instead of a privilege for a few.
Today, we are reinforcing this commitment. The Financial Times has once again ranked us as one of the 150 best Entrepreneurship Hubs in Europe—a sign that when purpose, talent, and action align, change accelerates.
This recognition belongs to our entire Community: Entrepreneurs who take risks, Partners who trust, and Investors who drive. Together, we are creating a stronger, more collaborative Ecosystem prepared for the present and future challenges. Thank you to everyone who believes in this Casa and builds the future with us!”
– Nuno Comando, Director of Casa do Impacto
A country cannot be measured by its size, but it can be measured by the growing potential it shows in building a future that lasts. By its focus on long-term sustainability. By its care for people and support for Entrepreneurs, Activists, Dreamers, and all Agents of Change. For the constant “carpenter bug” that won’t let us sit still and rest. Portugal has seven Hubs that have spread and will continue to spread the bug of restlessness, non-conformity, and innovation. We didn’t get here without the support and accompaniment of all the other Portuguese institutions featured on this list and many more. We make this journey together, and with the unshakeable confidence that this is how it should be; this is how we get somewhere.
Thank you for the trust that, once again, the Financial Times, Statista, and Sifted place in us and for recognizing the potential of Impact Entrepreneurship and Social and Environmental Sustainability in an Ecosystem as alive and full of opportunities and possibilities as Europe has become.
