Casa do Impacto responded to the challenge launched by the Lisbon City Council and participated as a partner in the Awareness for Entrepreneurship and Innovation – SEED pilot project. The program aimed to familiarize students between the 7th and the 12th grade with the world of Impact and the work done at CI, making known some of the projects of the house community: Spot Games, MyPolis, ubbu, TeachForPortugal, and Skoola.

Over the past few months, our “no doors’ house” have remained open to receive five classes from three schools in the Lisbon area: Grouping of D. Dinis Schools, Secondary School José Gomes Ferreira and Secondary School of Camões, during theoretical-practical sessions lasting two hours each. The program aimed to familiarize students between the 7th and the 12th grade with the world of impact and the work done at Casa do Impacto, presenting some of the projects of the house community: Spot Games, MyPolis, ubbu, TeachForPortugal, and Skoola.

From the question “What problem do you identify in your school?” we invited the students to discover their potential for Impact and, through practical activities, to find solutions to problems of their school community, such as issues related to mental health, infrastructure renovation, or end-of-school-year celebration parties.

Creativity was the watchword when choosing materials to materialize an idea or final product to present as a solution to the selected problem. The five classes presented very different proposals, but they always ensured their relevance, thus proving that they have all the potential to create projects with huge impact that, who knows, will pass through Casa do Impacto in the future.
