The Actif is a startup that arose from the need to improve the quality of life of older people. Its mission is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle during ageing, providing an on-demand video service with physical and cognitive activities. The proposal aims to offer an accessible and easy-to-use solution specifically targeted at the target audience.

The startup, which ended 2021 on a high as it passed the third and final phase of Rise for Impact, entered the new year on the right foot by signing a partnership protocol with Associação Caregivers Portugal – Associação Portuguesa de Caregivers. This non-profit association intends to dignify and structure the role of the professional and independent caregiver.

This partnership makes the Actif solution available to Caregivers Associates, with special membership conditions. In addition, it will promote research and collaboration projects to develop more tools to support the daily lives of caregivers.

“Technology will play a fundamental role in the area of care. Therefore, it is necessary to unite and develop solutions that facilitate the daily lives of these people. It was from this need that Actif was born, and we are proud to be able to partner with Caregivers, who also share our values and support our mission”, said Sara Gonçalves, Actif’s CEO, about the partnership announcement.
