July 20th marked the day Generosa took home first place in the second edition of the Triggers accelerator program. Wisedrop and Windcredible complete the podium with second and third place, respectively.
Triggers is an accelerator program that aims to stimulate the development of original ideas with environmental Impact that have the potential to become technically functional and financially sustainable solutions.
The three finalists who, about a month ago, grabbed the opportunity to be incubated by Casa do Impacto, worked hard to prepare for the final pitch that decided their fate in Triggers.
Although only one could be the big winner, the Triggers final was still a celebration of the three finalist projects and their will to find innovative solutions in the world of Impact.
These were the three projects that made up the podium:
- > Generosa Nature focuses on the treatment of domestic plants through its line of products made with ingredients from natural by-products and recycled materials. Their main goal is to reduce carbon emissions and promote a more sustainable lifestyle.
Generosa receives €5,000 and 1 year of incubation at Casa do Impacto. - > Wisedrop is a platform dedicated to the hospitality industry that aims to improve the guest experience by raising awareness and educating about water management in its core activities. In each accommodation, there will be a tablet on which it is possible to monitor water consumption during the stay.
WiseDrop receives €3,000 and 1 year of incubation at Casa do Impacto. - > Windcredible aims to produce and market its new generation of vertical axis wind turbines and thus democratize energy production for self-consumption, in urban environments, using wind energy.
Windcredible receives €2,000 and 1 year of incubation at Casa do Impacto.
The jury panel was composed of distinguished representatives of the five partners of the program – Inês Proença from Cascais City Council, Manuel Andrade from UpComing Energies by Galp, João Arbués Moreira from EDP, Flávia Nobre from Ageas Portugal Group and Bárbara Leão de Carvalho from 3XP Global – and Inês Sequeira, Director of Casa do Impacto. We thank all the representatives of these partners who contributed so much to the success of Triggers.
We end another edition with the growing desire to continue betting on solutions to climate issues. As long as there are teams that want to make the world better, Casa do Impacto will always have the right motivation to keep its doors open.
